
Attention families of 11th, 10th, 9th and 8th Graders ... 2023-2024 high school schedules are being sent home with students today (Wednesday). In addition to the main clubhouse on Union Street, the Boys & Girls Club operates on site at Jewett Street School and Highland-Goffe's Falls Elementary. Parkside is welcoming the families of our incoming 5th grade class to tour our building and meet 5th grade teachers on May 31 at 6 PM. Tours will run 6:00 to 6:30. and then an information session will take place from 6:30 to 7:00.

The state Board of Education is proposing changes to state minimum standards, known as Ed 306. As part of that process, a series of listening sessions has been scheduled around the state, including one at Memorial High School at 6 p.m. on June 5. A huge thank you to the MFD for bringing the Firefighter Challenge back to our middle schools. Congratulations to Parkside's winners and good luck at the city wide competition.


8th graders enjoyed a visit from the NHDOE's CTE Mobile Access RV! They had hands-on experiences with circuits, 3D computers, heavy equipment simulators, construction tools, CPR and cosmetology mannequins and more! Thank you Ms. Sacherski for planning the visit.


Parkside is happy to be welcoming families for Family Literacy Night, This evening is brought to you by GearUp and New Neighbor Connections. The night will include awesome student performances, food, connection and the presentation of the Jane M. Pollard Memorial Scholarship.

Program flyer: Chandler's Ball 3 on 3 tournament will return this summer, with three divisions for players ages 10 to 21. Tournament cost is $15 per team, with proceeds supporting maintenance of Sheridan Emmitt Park. You can find more information on the attached flyer.

There is a two-hour delay for Manchester School District on Wednesday, March 15, due to winter storm clean-up. This affects Kindergarten through Grade 12 and full-day pre-kindergarten. Morning pre-kindergarten is cancelled. Afternoon pre-kindergarten starts at regular time.

Please use caution traveling in the morning.

Due to the winter storm, Tuesday, March 14, will be a remote learning day for students in Kindergarten through Grade 12. There is no pre-kindergarten on Tuesday. All after-school activities are cancelled on Tuesday.

Three Important Updates from Parkside
1. 8th grade students are finalizing courses for next year this week on Aspen. Please consult with your student and their teachers regarding selections. The instructions for students, an informational slideshow and the course catalog are all below. All selections are due on Wednesday, March 8.
2. 3rd Quarter progress reports will be distributed to students on Tuesday, March 7. Please ask your student's teacher(s) directly if you have any questions about grades.
3. Manchester West Head Football Coach Andrew Provencher and staff will be visiting during the lunches on Tuesday, March 14th. They will be providing information for 8th graders interested in participating in freshman football at West and 5th, 6th and 7th graders looking to participate on the Parkside flag football team and/or register for youth tackle football.
