Congressman Chris Pappas visits JAG class at Parkside

MANCHESTER – On Friday, Congressman Chris Pappas visited the Jobs for America’s Graduates classroom at the Middle School at Parkside to learn more about the program.

Jobs for America’s Graduates, or JAG for short, is based at two middle schools – Parkside and Southside – and two high schools – Memorial and MST – in the district. The elective class provides vital job skills, hands-on experience, and a year of follow-up to support the transition from graduation to employment, military service, and/or post-secondary education.

Congressman Pappas was visiting to learn more about how resources from the Community Funding Project were being used in the JAG program, and instructor Sean Chenoweth and students walked through a typical class for the guests. In a social media post later Friday, Pappas lauded the program.

"JAG-NH ensures that New Hampshire's young people can meet their full potential, and I was glad to secure community project funding to support their work to mentor young leaders," he said.
