End of Year Activities
Freedom Trail Field Trip
What: The Freedom Trail in Boston is a walking path through the city that is a collection of historical sites relating to the founding of the country. Throughout 8th grade social studies, students have been studying the founding of the United States and many of the events surrounding the American Revolution. This trip will allow students to visit many of those sites.
When: June 12, 2023 8:00AM-6:00PM (Rain Date June 13)
Where: Boston, MA
Who: 8th Grade Students eligible to participate

8th Grade Dance
What: Dance for 8th grade students
When: Friday, June 2 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM
Where: Middle School at Parkside Cafeteria
Who: 8th Grade Students
Cost: $2.00
TICKETS NEED TO BE PURCHASED IN ADVANCE DURING LUNCHES
Class Day and Recognition Practice
On Wednesday, June 14 students will be practicing for their recognition ceremony, recognized with Awards from team and UA teachers during team assemblies. The PTSA will also be proving lunch to students.
Report Cards
Report cards will be distributed on Wednesday, June 14 for all 8th grade students.
Promotion Ceremony
When: Wednesday, June 14 at 6PM to 7PM
Where: Parkside Gymnasium
Who: All 8th Grade Students Interested in Attending
Students:
- Arrive at Parkside at 5:00 and go to cafeteria entrance
Tickets and Family Arrival:
Each student will receive two tickets to give to their guests. This is a set limit due to fire code regulations and our gymnasium's capacity.
Tickets are required for entry. Students will receive these tickets on Friday, June 9.
Doors will open for guests at 5:30
Promotion Ceremony:
No Food or Drinks will be allowed at the event.
No Smoking will be allowed at the event.
The event is expected to last approximately one hour.
