Students and Families,
We are excited to welcome all of you to the 2025-2026 school year tomorrow morning. We are sharing information below about student schedules and morning arrival and dismissal. Please talk to your children tonight about their after school plan to ensure they know if they are taking a bus, walking or being picked up by a guardian.
We are looking forward to partnering with you this year to make it a great one for all of our students and families.
Thank you,
The Parkside Staff
Student Schedules
We will have printed copies of schedules for all students tomorrow morning in their homeroom. Staff members will be outside of the 5/6 entrance and 7/8 entrance tomorrow morning with homeroom lists to help students find their way. Students and families can also check their schedule on Aspen.
Morning Arrival
Your student’s first class starts promptly at 7:25AM and our doors open at 7:20AM. Breakfast service begins at 7:00AM. Do not drop your student off before 7:00AM as there will not be staff available to supervise them. As students arrive at Parkside they will proceed to the following areas:
5th and 6th Grade: Rear addition and modular entrance
7th and 8th Grade: Cafeteria Double Doors (basketball court)
Students MUST arrive by 7:20 to ensure they get to their first class on time. Students arriving after 7:25 are tardy and must check in at the main office.
Dismissal
Classes end at 2:20. Bus students will be dismissed first followed by walkers and riders.
Please be patient as traffic is particularly challenging the first few days of school as students learn their routine and bus information. Parents should not use Parkside or Gossler's parking lot to pick up students. We recommend that parents picking up their student in a car wait until 2:25 to attempt to come down Parkside Ave. We also recommend waiting on one of the adjacent streets and having your student walk to you. Parents walking with their students are welcome to wait near the exit closest to their student’s grade level.
Students picking up siblings at Gossler will be supervised in the Parkside cafeteria until Gossler's dismissal time.

Congratulations to Joel Elliot on a National Championship and National Record in the Boys Long Jump. His 6.55m jump beat the previous record of 6.25m at the Adidas Nationals. Joel will also compete in the 200m race on Sunday. We are proud of this incredible student athlete.
