Polite to the Right

posted Aug 31, 2012, 9:32 AM by Stacey Rust-Belforti
On Thursday, all students were introduced to an initiative as part of our Core Expectations of RESPECT and RESPONSIBILITY.  "Polite" means using quiet voice and safe space.  "To the Right" means walking to the right of the blue tape lines in the hallways.  Why are we focusing on the hallway? We have 700 students and 100 staff members.  With so many people in the hallways, sometimes it can get loud and feel unsafe for many of us. In order to be Respectful and Responsible citizens at Parkside, we need to have hallways that are safe for everyone. The term POLITE TO THE RIGHT will help remind everyone at Parkside of the behaviors that show RR expectations (Respectful and Responsible) in the hallways.

Ask your student to share the information from Thursdays assembly with you.  Students have the opportunity to randomly earn raffle tickets and win prizes when displaying RR behaviors in the halls and they are POLITE TO THE RIGHT!
